Fantastic experience at The Grainary. The staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful. For example, a member of staff slightly (and I mean slightly) spilled some cappuccino onto the saucer. The member of staff proceeded to make a brand new cappuccino (even though we would have been more than happy with the original cup). The food was of the highest standard. One of the best steak pies I have ever had. The menu is very impressive and we will definitely be returning to try other options. There are also plenty of food options for children (our two year old daughter really enjoyed the fish, chips and beans). Our daughter also loved visiting the farm animals before and after our meal. A real gem of a place.

This is the perfect choice if you want a peaceful, relaxing break from busy life. My husband and I enjoyed a night away without the children. We loved every aspect of our stay. It's very clean and comfortable. Good quality products such as great tea, coffee and biscuits in the room, temple spa toiletries and complimentary bottles of water. The decor is beautiful and it's very homely. We loved the location. Its quiet with amazing views of the countryside. Its a working farm and we enjoyed seeing the piglets, goats, sheep, donkeys and chickens There are some lovely walks through the grounds. You could also go for longer walks in the area but we opted to visit Whitby, which is only 13 miles away.

Celebrated new year for the second time at The Grainary All the staff are super friendly, the food was amazing and the rooms very comfortable. Must arrange a summer stay to experience a different season. Thank you Mark and Angie Randerson

The Grainary is an amazing hotel located in a beautiful valley in North Yorkshire. It’s a short drive from Scarborough with its sea front and attractions. The food was lovely and plentiful and the people that work there were so friendly and accommodating, we were really made to feel at home. The breakfast was outstanding the mushrooms were a particular highlight, plump and juicy cooked in butter. Lots of choice of both cooked to order plus all of the continental items laid out for you to sample. You must pay a visit the goats and pigs, the piglets are really cute and funny to watch. We hope we get to visit again and spend more time there soon.

This hotel is beautiful, set with the most stunning scenary. Such lovely staff, fabulous home-cooked food and an amazing breakfast. Nice park for the kids and a few farm animals you can view, we were fortunate enough to visit with 1 day old piglets. Our 8 year old said this is the best hotel.

I hardly ever leave a review but had to with this place. What a beautiful, special place this is. We stayed in the family room and couldn’t find any fault with it. It was so clean, the beds were really comfy and very good quality The views are stunning and the breakfast was fantastic. I’d 100% recommend staying here.

Family break was ended with a lovely lunch in The Grainary. Fantastic steak pie, lasagne, a wild mushroom risotto, and burgers. Decent wine list and draught beers.
